The Summer LIHEAP Regular and Crisis Program are expected to open July 26th, 2021 and close September 30th, 2021.The Winter Extended CARES Program is expected to open July 12th, 2021 and close September 30th, 2021.Applicants may apply in person, via Staff interview or drop box, by mail, or by phone. How to process an appeal: “If you disagree with the decision made on your application and want to file an appeal, you may do so by obtaining and completing a Hearing form from this agency.” Per the 2021 LIHEAP Policy Manual, the Hearing Form is attached above.
Please note: if you would prefer to complete the traditional LIHEAP Utility Assistance application and submit it via the mail or put it in the dropbox of your local CAPCA support office you can print one out by selecting the LiHEAP Application and click on the print icon in the upper right hand corner. Applications may also be picked up outside of each CAPCA support office. The Low- income Home Energy Assistance Program is designed to assist eligible persons with utility bills. A number of Individuals who participate in the LiHeap crisis program are enrolled in the Assurance 16 Program. Assurance 16 builds upon the individual’s strengths and provides information on ways to reduce their home energy needs. These programs operate only when funds are available. When available fans are provided to participants through our Fan Program.
When LiHEAP is not in operation other emergency utility assistance may be provided to eligible households, dependent upon available funding.
